These are the
statuses/determinations that Antioch Energy uses in the stages of
oil and gas reserve development:
- Play
- Lead
- Prospect
- Development Not Viable
- Development on Hold
- Development Pending
- Planned for Development
- Under Development
- On Production
During the Play, Lead, and
Prospect determinations, there is emphasis placed on geological
understanding of the potential oil and gas producing formations
through analysis of well logs, core samples, and other sources of
geophysical data.
During the Development Pending,
Planned for Development, and Under Development determinations,
there is emphasis placed on reservoir engineering through the
characterization of the reservoir and reservoir simulation
modeling. We utilize five basic tools in the reservoir simulation:
- Analogues comparisons
- Decline curve analysis
- Material balance equations and type curves
- Streamline simulation
- Finite difference simulation
During the On Production
determination, there is emphasis placed on production engineering
and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) through the
use of flow analyzers/monitors, pump-off controllers, pressure
data recorders, fluid analysis, and other well surveillance
methods and tools. |
